Speak Up Podcast recording: Oral history, in conversation with a SPA life member

11:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Presentation summary

This live podcast recording is an opportunity for a SPA Life Member to reflect on the time since they graduated from speech pathology at university and the growth of the field and profession as a whole. This will be a conversation about the changes in evidence based practices and how we have worked with others and the things we wish we knew earlier. The conversation will cumulate in advice for people who are at an earlier stage in their career, and a facilitated question and answer session to assist attendees in applying this advice to themselves and their careers.

Refrences

1. Attendees will come away understanding the changes to the profession over the time this Life Member has practiced.
2. Attendees will have reflections to consider implementing into their lives and practices.
3. Attendees will learn about the life and career of a SPA Life Member, and share in the learnings of this individual over their career.
