Professor Li Sheng is a faculty member at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She held faculty positions at the University of Texas Austin and the University of Delaware from 2007 to 2021. She directs the Language Learning and Bilingualism Lab and conducts basic, translational, and clinical practice research with the goals of advancing understanding of the mechanisms of language development and improving the quality of life of individuals who have language disorders.

Aria Jingdan Yang, a PhD candidate at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, is dedicated to developing culturally and linguistically appropriate narrative assessment tools and intervention strategies for Mandarin-speaking children. As a bilingual speech-language therapist, she grounds her research in extensive clinical experience gained from public hospitals, private clinics, and special education centers. Her practice involves serving clients with aphasia, dysarthria, and developmental language delays, with specialized expertise in autism spectrum disorder and AAC. This direct synergy between her research and clinical work fuels her commitment to advancing practical, evidence-based services for diverse communities.
