Ronelle Hewetson is a lecturer in Speech Pathology at Griffith University, Australia. She has worked and supervised students in a broad range of adult and paediatric caseloads and contexts. Most of her clinical experience has been in hospital and community-based rehabilitation with adults who have acquired communication disorders. Prior to moving to Australia, Ronelle worked as an academic and clinical educator at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. She researchers in cognitive communication disorders post right hemisphere stroke and traumatic brain injury, curriculum design and clinical education. Current projects aim to support friendships and improve education provision for those affected by brain injury in partnership with health services in Australia. She is a member of the International Right Hemisphere Collaborative and ANCDS Right Hemisphere Disorder writing group.
