Dr. Rachael Unicomb is an Associate Professor at Macquarie University and holds an honorary appointment at the University of Newcastle. With a teaching, clinical, and research focus on stuttering across the lifespan, her research focuses on aiming to bridge the gap between research and practice, particularly in the treatment of stuttering as it co-occurs with other communication disorders. Rachael has led the development of the first clinical guidelines in over two decades for managing stuttering alongside speech sound disorders, providing much-needed direction for clinicians. Rachael continues to maintain a private caseload (after hours, Saturdays), predominantly supporting individuals (of all ages) who stutter as a mobile clinician (and via telehealth). Rachael is passionate about equipping speech pathologists with practical, research-informed strategies to support individuals who stutter at all stages of life.
