Jess Shillinglaw (she/they) is a clinician-researcher with Monash Health, holding dual leadership roles. As Senior Speech Pathologist at the Gender Clinic, Jess works within a multidisciplinary team supporting neurodivergent trans and gender diverse communities. In their role as Speech Pathology Discipline Senior in Adult Mental Health, they lead service development, clinical governance, and workforce capacity building across complex mental health settings. Jess’s work is grounded in evidence-based practice, equity, and inclusion, and is deeply informed by lived experience. Their clinical and research interests focus on the intersections of gender identity, neurodivergence, and mental health, with a commitment to improving access and outcomes for marginalised populations. Jess is actively involved in professional education, advocacy, and systems change, and brings warmth, curiosity, and critical thinking to all aspects of their practice.
