Rachel is a Senior Speech Pathologist at Therapy Matters on the Gold Coast. She has had a diversity of clinical experiences including the provision of clinic services for toddlers to adolescents, school-based services for children with speech, language and literacy difficulties, community-based services for disadvantaged and vulnerable children and presenting workshops to early childhood educators. Rachel is part of the Leadership Team at Therapy Matters and has supported many team members through structured supervision and mentoring across both individual and group models. Rachel’s previous career in the field of health promotion has reinforced her passion for early intervention and education of families and members of the community about communication difficulties and their impact. She has also developed and implemented policies and processes to support clinical excellence and evidence-based practice at Therapy Matters.

Tania is the Founding Director of Therapy Matters, a private speech pathology clinic she has led for the past 30 years. As a leader, supervisor, and active speech pathology clinician, Tania is passionate about cultivating reflective practice and professional growth through evidence-based supervision. Tania is a compassionate leader with strong values in supporting clinician’s well-being and life-long learning. These values are shared alongside her Therapy Matters team where there is a service wide commitment to the role that reflective learning plays in the achievement of excellence. Tania has had a career long commitment to the development of thriving, learning-focused teams where both clients, clinicians and a workplace can flourish. Tania has been a past member of the Speech Pathology Australia Private Practice Advisory Board, a current member of the Speech Pathology Australia Emerging Practice Models and a foundation member of Gold Coast Speech Pathologists in Private Practice (GOSPIPP).
