Courtney Barnes is a final-year Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) student at the Australian Catholic University. Her honours thesis, “Knowledge and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in speech pathology: Clinician perspectives,” explores speech pathologists’ knowledge, experiences, and attitudes toward emerging AI technologies in clinical practice. Throughout her studies, Courtney has gained diverse clinical experience across paediatric school and private practice settings, as well as adult community rehabilitation in both metropolitan and regional hospitals. Her research interests focus on digital health, clinical innovation, and the ethical integration of AI into speech pathology practice.
